You will be hosted in a typical Italian flat, a small building of early XXth century with a welcoming middle age woman who will provide you a plentiful Italian breakfast every morning and who will be happy to take care of you during all of your staying! The flat is at a third floor with a characteristic elevator, newly restored and very bright. A typical Italian dinner will be arranged to welcome you in Rome and of course additional dinners can be arranged upon request. Maria, besides being a ancient Latin and Greek teacher who is about to receive her second degree in archaeology, is a first class cooker and she will make you feel the warmth of being in a Italian family. It is a unique experience, it will be like having a friend in Italy who makes sure you are having a good time in Rome. Our apartment is wonderfully located, in the best place to feel a Italian and a tourist at the same time.
You will be living in a quiet street, downtown San Pietro, minutes walk to the Basilica of Saint Peter, the Vatican Museum, Vatican City, wonderful Borgo Pio, Lungotevere, Trastevere and downtown as well. If you don't want to walk , there are bus stops in every corner and a train line that will bring you to the airport in 35 minutes is two blocks away! You will have the full use of the house and kitchen if you want to cook something yourself and Maria won't be home on the week ends to leave your privacy. Nobody of our hosts has ever regretted this unique experience.
